The Women’s Convention brings the fight for reproductive freedom and women’s equality to Texas, the bellwether state where Roe originated, and the spot of the first Women’s Convention in 1977. This project is timely, critical, and inspiring. Inspired by the look of the ’77 convention, I poured everything into branding the event and conceiving a more inclusive women’s symbol that reflects our experiences, not our bodies. While the issues being tackled could not be more serious, the convention, a convening of women and femmes from across the country is a celebration. The logo reflects celebration, it’s an acknowledgment of how far we have come, and the fierce determination to keep working, and fighting – together. In addition to the logo, event branding, and a style guide shared with the event’s partners: Women’s March, Black Feminist Future, NOW, Planned Parenthood, National Women’s Law Center and We Are Ultraviolet, I created event signage, social media templates, and a variety of graphics used on posters, across convention materials, and in the shop that supports the event.

Women's March has worked with Arin on several identity projects — two anniversary marches and a convention. Working with Arin is easy, comforting, and fun. I know that she will translate our ideas in ways that exceed our imaginations and do it on time. Her thoughtful research, meticulous process and inventive approach produce designs that resonate with our base and beyond. We're thrilled that her work will be a part of our legacy.
